Welcome to the Bengali Society of Queensland. We are a non-profit, membership-based organisation based in Brisbane, providing a strong
and vibrant avenue to promote Bengali culture to our members as well as to the wider Australian community. Our activities are open
to both members and non-members.
Our philosophy of inclusiveness is inspired by the stirring words of Rabindranath Tagore:
Where
the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches it arms towards perfection
